Emma Banks is a freelance journalist based in Brooklyn, New York, covering queer culture, politics, and healthcare. She recently obtained her master’s degree in Women’s and Gender Studies from CUNY, where she was the 2023-2024 Communications Fellow for CLAGS: The Center for LGBTQ Studies. In her spare time she volunteers at the Lesbian Herstory Archives.
